Pie in the Sky

So last night I made a very simple dinner, some fish, broccoli and potato.  Not that this is exciting by any means, but it was enough to fill me up, yet not stuffed.  Well, reading my book in bed last night as I always do, (My Life in France by Julia Child at the moment), I decided to pull out Julia Child's cook book "Mastering the Art of French Cooking".  While this is always interesting to flip through, last night was especially hard!  Why you ask? I guess my dinner of fish and veggies just didn't compare to yummy homemade french onion soup, or boeuf bourguignon....the list goes on. I started reading everything out loud and then my husband finally had to tell me to stop as his stomach was grumbling for food! Too funny!

So, as I am sitting here I am trying to decide what I am going to make for dinner tonight, which is something I usually don't even begin to think about until an hour before dinner.  Does yummy french onion soup sound good? Heck yes! Do I have the desire to actually cut up five onions.....no.  (I am REALLY sensitive to the whole onion cutting.)
Anyways, again, this post is about nothing in particular, as my whole blog is about nothing, but at least I have managed to get something out.  What will I have for dinner tonight? No one knows quite yet.  I think pie sounds lovely.

"So much to say, so much to say, open up my head and let me out".....DMB

Hello Blogger World! Ok, so here I am. I have always thought of all the things that I would talk about if I had an outlet for these thoughts. Well, now I do, and I have NO clue on what I want to write about. The funny thing about this is that I have so much going on at the moment you would think that I could write a book. Maybe I just got too motivated yesterday to create this blog while I was watching "Julie and Julia". I don't know.

I feel like I could write about all the stupid things that I see happening around me by either clueless people, or from my own klutziness. (Not sure if that is a real word.)

I think this blog will also come into handy with my worldly travels. (I do LOVE to travel, and travel as often as is able.) Last summer I spent a month in Australia, that was absolutely wonderful, and a few weeks ago I went to Ireland to celebrate my husbands big 4-0. His birthday is on St. Patty's day so it was only appropriate to go to Ireland for that one. We had a wonderful time, and had the whole country to ourselves. Loved it.

This really isn't that interested to read yet, I know. I think I am going to have to start learning that when I have some ideas to make sure to jot them down and then stay disciplined to sit here and type them out. Something like that......

So on that note, I am going to end today with a quote I learned in real estate school, "You can't cure stupid". Deep thoughts on this Wednesday.
